Q&A: Kinda gross..but has anyone experienced…?

Question by ShanaJ: Kinda gross..but has anyone experienced…?
breaking out on your back during pregnancy????? I have clear skin on my face and chest but my back is really bad. During the summer I would break out a little on my back from sweating while playing tennis, ( I was not pg then) But now it is terrible and I am not playing tennis that much as I live in New England and it is starting to be winter here. I bought the Neutragena body wash ans it has helped a tiny bit. I have tried Proactive as well. Has anyone else gone through this and will it go away after the baby is born??? I am 11 weeks and 4 days now. Thanks!!

Question by gi_1: Anyone familiar with Arbonne International products?
Arbonne International specializes in Swiss skin and body care, nutrition, aromatherapy, cosmetics and weight loss products. I am also told that the business opportunities as a distributor are great (lucrative). Anyone who has used the products, please provide some feedback regarding your experience with them. Anyone who is/has been on the business side of it as well, please provide insight/feedback regarding your experiences. Is this a pyramid scheme?

the stuff is way too expensive…they also make the stuff look bigger in the magazine than it really is in real life so you get kind of don’t get your money’s worth. i like Mary-Kay wayyyyy better!

Q&A: Anyone know a working solution for acne?

Question by : Anyone know a working solution for acne?
I have moderate acne, mostly on my forehead. I’ve tried proactive, and facial washes, but none of them seem to work. I even have a foot pad that takes toxins out of my body.
Does anyone now a cheap way to get clear skin? Something you have used and that worked. I really need help, school starts in less than 12 days.

Accutane, but that would make your acne worse at first. And it’s a pain to actually get the medication.

Does anyone know of a website for skin cream reviews?

Question by Hello413: Does anyone know of a website for skin cream reviews?
I am looking for a website that can give me reviews on what are the best OTC (like Oil Olay, Neutrogena, Aveeno) age fighting skin creams. There are so many on the market, they are expensive so I want to do some research on them before I buy. I am mostly concerned about eye firming creams and Microdermabrasions.

Question by eydieville: has anyone used oil of olay regenerist? did it work?
before i sink what i consider to be a lot of money into it, i’d like to know. i have deepish lines i think are called smile lines and at the corners of my lips, the skin sags down, making it look like i’m frowning when i’m not. i need to know what kind of success older women have had with any of the oil of olay regenerist line. what specific products would be beneficial to me. also if you’ve had success with another similar product, such as garnier frutise. thanks.

Best answer:

Answer by Char T
I was just reading the other day that regenerist was the best in a consumer based study done in 2006, so I guess it does have some effect. I haven’t used it. I know that retin-a also helps to reduce wrinkles, because it helps with cellular turn over. You need a prescription for that though.

Q&A: has anyone used Nioxin?

Question by sweetgurl1810: has anyone used Nioxin?
I wanted to hear about anyone’s experience with Nioxin. I have been using it for about 2 months. A little less than two years ago, I had a terrible experience with glued in hair extensions. I was uninformed (& heavily mislead) about the extreme damage that it would do to my hair. My hair thinned out drastically, and although it seems to progressively become thicker, it still is not where it used to be. I use Nioxin system 1, the cleanser, the scalp therapy (although typically do not directly apply it to my scalp every time I use it because it seems to weigh my hair down) & the scalp treatment. I take a multivitamin twice a day, a vitamin b complex, 1200 mcg biotin (recentley lowered from 2500 mcg as I thought that was too much) & 1 to 2 flaxseed oil caplets per day. I just want to hear about anyone’s experience using Nioxin & how long it took them to see results,if any.

I use Nioxin i’ve used it for about a yr. It works well with my hair but I have found that it is still best to use another shampoo in addition to the nixion. I have had good results my hair is longer in was very short before along my edges but they have grown well now and my hair is at my shoulders. Keep using it you will see results it takes about 3mo,

Question by Latinavampyra: Has anyone had facial IPL laser treatment for rosacea?
If so, how does your skin look and feel immediatly after the treatment? If female, are you able to apply makeup before going home? How many treatments did you have to have? After all treatments were finished, how does your face look now compared to beginning the first treatment? Serious answers only…

Best answer:

Answer by sir readalot
I think you should try a systemic approach before treating rosacea with a laser. I had rosacea and cured it through good nutrition and avoiding all foods that contain refined sugar. Daily supplements of chromium picolinate also helped. And crushed raw garlic added to food after it is cooked. The idea is to get your blood sugar stabilized at a low level, so that the bacteria which cause rosacea cannot thrive in your skin.
