Olay total effects cream cleanser with scrub, ok for my skin?

Question by Elaine C: Olay total effects cream cleanser with scrub, ok for my skin?
I’ve been using Olay total effects foam cleanser, it was doing okay for my skin, but sometime it dries it abit.. then i switch olay total effects cream cleanser, it has tiny beads that acts as a scrub.

Now, i never uses a cream cleanser before and it quite surprise me, i’m so used to foam cleanser and my face feels really clean and fresh after that. but this cream cleanser doesn’t have any foam or bubbles, it gives me a feeling that it doesn’t wash away my face oil, but it’s not drying my skin at all, that i like.

so my question is,
1. is cream cleanser better for my face? i have a combination of oily and dry skin.
2. cream cleanser DOES cleans away dirt and oil right? because i really don’t feel it’s cleaning power, lol.
3, what is the correct way to use cream cleanser? do i apply directly on my wet face? or mix it with some water like i do with foam cleanser 1st, only then i apply to my wet face?
4. my skin are not really prone to acne, only sometime i have 1 or 2 pimples, will using this cream cleanser makes me skin more prone to acne?

thanks alot ! :)

I understand your frustrations, and I suggest you try a different Olay product. Get Olay Gentle Foaming Face Wash ($ 6). It is super hydrating, very gentle, takes off ALL your makeup and creates a luxurious foam. It is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! You will fall in love with it!!! It is THE BEST cleanser I have ever used, and I’ve gotten so many people to use it now, too. It will take solve all your problems.

A tip: Always wash your face twice at a time. Wet your face, put a pea sized amount in your hand and work into a lather. Thoroughly rub your skin, and rinse well. Then wash again for a proper cleansing that won’t dry you out.

I have also found a few other products that really helped with my dry skin (it was SO problematic and severe). You have to try Korres 24 Hour Moisturizer (Sephora)- it will work miracles and I can’t live without it. Also, the Clarisonic Facial Brush (Sephora) made the biggest difference in the world. It is expensive at $ 200, but for me, it was worth every cent and more for how much improvement it has made to my skin.
